SUNBRIGHT ME-3C200BD-NP is a novel acetal linkage releasable PEG with a self-immolative linker structure, designed to release native bioactive substances under physiological conditions. It consists of a 20 kDa PEG chain conjugated to a cleavable aromatic acetal unit, enabling gradual release through hydrolysis.
The release rate of the bioactive substance can be finely tuned by modifying the substituent on the aromatic ring. In vitro studies demonstrated that ME-3C200BD-NP exhibited a half-life of approximately 7.5 days at pH 7.4, allowing controlled release kinetics suitable for protein and peptide conjugation. ME-3C200BD-NP is a useful material for advanced drug delivery, enhancing the blood stability of bioactive substances and achieving prolonged bioactivity by gradually releasing the native bioactive substance into the bloodstream.
