For site specific delivery, nanoparticles modified with ligands are widely used. Conventional modifying agents, like activated PEG-phospholipids, have a ionic-charge. It is not appreciate to apply them to lipid nanoparticles (LNP), because they have a negative impact on a charge and stability of LNP. Our “Activated PEG Diacylglycerol” has no charge, so it is useful for preparing site specific LNP.
