PEG chain Molecular weight: 2000
RCOO= C18:0

For site-specific delivery, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) modified with targeting ligands are widely used in advanced drug delivery systems. SUNBRIGHT GS-020MA is a functionalized PEG lipid designed for efficient ligand conjugation in LNP formulations. It features two C18:0 fatty acids (stearic acid) connected at the 1- and 2-positions of a glycerol backbone, with a 2,000 Da polyethylene glycol (PEG) chain at the 3-position, terminated with a maleimide group. The maleimide group enables site-specific conjugation with thiol-containing molecules such as peptides, antibodies, or other ligands, facilitating precise cellular targeting and enhanced formulation versatility. GS-020MA does not have a charge that could adversely affect the stability of LNPs, and is useful for developing active targeting delivery systems.
